The Beginning
A Simple Idea
Greek Cuisine started with a simple idea: that fast food does not have to mean processed food. Founder Enis Ucuncu built the restaurant around fresh ingredients, original recipes, and a standard for what should actually go into the food. Two decades later, nothing about that has changed.
Enis Ucuncu co-founds Greek Fiesta at Northgate Mall, Durham
Sets out on his own — reopens the space as Greek Cuisine with his own recipes
Expands to South Miami Blvd in Durham as the concept grows
Opens at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, bringing the same kitchen to a new city

We keep the flavors authentic. No shortcuts, no substitutions that compromise the taste, and no additives that don't belong in real Greek cooking. If you have eaten Greek food in Greece, we want this to taste familiar.

Greek food has always been built on the Mediterranean staples: olive oil, fresh vegetables, lean grilled proteins, yogurt, and herbs. That's not a health trend we adopted — it's simply how the food has always been made.

We have been part of Durham and Raleigh for over twenty years, and those communities have carried us. We believe in giving back to the neighborhoods that support us and to greater North Carolina — whether that means supporting local schools, community organizations, or neighbors in need.
